"We'd love to see a playground  around here and we will do whatever we can to back the campaign"

And thanks to  all the  local shops  that are displaying our  new posters.

Green Party Backs The Campaign

Just three Days to go before GE11, when we elect  the Deputies who will form the next government and lots of people are still not sure how to vote. Here in Windy Arbour, we've only been canvassed  by two parties this time . Labour's Aidan Culhane  dared to visit us and we were surprised that he  knew quite a bit about the Playground Campaign.

We were also visited by  Clare, a 'Green party member working with outgoing Commiunications Minister Eamon Ryan, who is very worried that he will lose his seat.

We hope he doesn't, because punishing the Greens for this  financial mess is a bit like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

We also met Senator Shane Ross on the campaign Trail in Dundrum Shopping Centre.  Ross is hoping to take Ryan's place and has a pretty good chance. We asked him to support the campaign, so we live in hope.

The kids backing the campaign  ha, ve also been working hard on posters aimed at getting more members to sign up online. We've made  a few posters and distributed them to all the shops in Windy Arbour that were open late on Saturday afternoon.

We're really pleased that all the traders  said the playground campaign is a great idea.  Quite a few are working on special offers that they can advertise here and we're hoping to come up with more fundraising ideas in the next few weeks. We are also hoping to put in a lotttey grant application by March 25th, so if you 'd like to help with that get in touch by email to [email protected]  :)

February 2nd, 2011

We've  redesigned our web site and  added a  Donate Button and a new CafePress Shop.

That means  you can now show your support for the Playground Campaign by  donating a euro or t wo or by buying T -shirts, bags and even Mugs mentioning the Campaign.   The good news is that ten per cent of eveything you spend in the CafePress shop goes to our .campaign.

(The rest covers the cost of making, printing and sending you the T- shirt or whatever you choose. You can even design your own T- Shirt.

Have Fun, and thanks for your support,
